This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to improving public health and well-being through enhanced access to clean water and dignified sanitation facilities across Edo State.

SDG Alignment

SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities)

Program Goals

To significantly improve hygiene standards, ensure reliable access to clean water, and enhance public spaces for communities across all three senatorial districts in Edo State

Key Activities

Construction of modern 5-compartment public toilet facilities, installation of solar-powered boreholes, and development of integrated store and office units to support market operations

Impact

Promotes healthier markets, cleaner environments, and more dignified public spaces. Directly addresses sanitation challenges and strengthens local commerce

Evbuologun Market WASH Project (Ikpoba-Okha LGA, Edo South)
  • Description: Site inspection completed and project kick-off in Evbuologun Market. This project will deliver vital community infrastructure, including sanitation and water facilities.
  • Local Impact: Received by the LGA Chairman, APC Ward Leader, and market committee, demonstrating strong community buy-in and readiness for improved public amenities.
  • Status: Kicked off with site inspection and stakeholder engagement.
Irrua Main Market WASH Project (Esan Central LGA, Edo Central)
  • Description: A site visit and stakeholder engagement were conducted to commence the construction of a modern 5-compartment toilet facility, a solar-powered borehole for clean and reliable water access, and an integrated store and office unit designed to support and enhance daily market operations.
  • Local Impact: Warmly received by community leaders, local government officials, and market representatives. This project aims to directly address sanitation challenges, strengthen local commerce, and uplift daily life at the grassroots level.
  • Status: Site inspection and stakeholder engagement completed, marking another step forward in expanding infrastructural initiatives.

World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025 Outreach & SDGs School Club Launch

This impactful initiative focuses on empowering young girls through education, health awareness, and fostering leadership in sustainable development.

  • SDG Alignment: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality)
Program Goals
  • To promote menstrual health awareness, ensure a #PeriodFriendlyWorld, and empower young girls to become advocates and leaders for the SDGs within their schools and communities.
Key Activities
  • Empowering sessions on menstrual health education.
  • Practical training on making reusable pads.

Official launch of the SDGs School Club Initiative to foster youth engagement and leadership in sustainable development

Impact

Equips young girls with knowledge and confidence regarding menstrual health, promotes hygiene best practices, and establishes platforms for youth-led SDG actions in schools.
